The divorce couldn’t have been easy for either Nicole Kidman or Keith Urban, but all reports point to the country star having two beautiful women by his side to help him move on from this rough period in his life.
By now, ‘Kelsea Ballerini‘ and ‘Maggie Baugh’ are two names we have heard over and over again in conversations about Urban and Kidman’s separation. But why? Well, when the news first broke, insiders had a lot to say about Urban moving on from Kidman much quicker than anyone would have expected. After all, they had been married for nearly two decades.
It all started when a source told Woman’s Day that Urban is close to both Baugh and Ballerini, the latter of whom has proven to be a “shoulder to cry on” during this time. They said, “It’s true he and Maggie Baugh have been working closely together, but he’s also still very close to Kelsea Ballerini, who’s also newly single.”

Another source had a similar report, stating, “The rumor is that he’s with a younger woman in the business. It’s all everyone is talking about. Everyone wants to know who, but so far, that’s a mystery” (via the Daily Mail).
As for Baugh, the rumors caught speed after Urban changed the lyrics of a song he had initially written about Kidman to include the 25-year-old’s name. A Nashville radio professional even told the Daily Mail why they think Baugh is the woman the rumors are about:
I know Keith. I know his mannerisms. Even if I didn’t know what I know, I’d be like, ‘There’s something going on here.’ The rumor is that it was an aspiring musician on the scene, a much-younger brunette, and she totally fits the bill.
What Does Nicole Kidman Think of the Rumors About Keith Urban?
It’s hard to imagine that the rumors went unnoticed by Nicole Kidman. A source told TMZ that while all signs point to the Messed Up As Me singer being with another woman, Kidman was shocked upon hearing the news. However, she isn’t denying them either, as per the report.
They said, “All the signs point to the fact that Keith is with another woman. Let’s just say, Nicole doesn’t dispute that, but she’s still shocked over it.”
Kidman reportedly wanted to salvage her marriage, but things didn’t quite work out as she had hoped. As per PEOPLE, the split turned “dramatic“, leaving the actress feeling “hurt and betrayed.” The source continued,
“Keith has not been honest. She wanted to save their marriage and believed that she could, but it seems he’s already moved on.”
Another source told the outlet that regardless of what has happened, Kidman is “keeping it positive” and that “she isn’t someone who dwells on regrets – she believes everything happens for a reason.” Her focus seems to be divided between two things that matter the most to her: her work and her family.
So far, Kidman hasn’t addressed the split with Urban, but a recent interview has fans thinking that she just may have.
Maggie Baugh Opens up About Romance in the Band
Maggie Baugh, one of the women Keith Urban has been linked to, has not spoken up about the rumors circulating about her and her band member. However, in a resurfaced interview from 2017, Baugh was seen telling Piper’s Picks TV that romantic relationships within the band are strictly off limits.
She said,
There’s always been a rule you can’t date the band members because what happens if we break up? I mean, they’re all cute, don’t get me wrong, but I mean that the drummer has been the longest in my band. Like, he’s basically my brother. My bass player is basically my brother. Everyone in my band, I treat like my best friend.
As per US Weekly, Baugh has stepped back from playing with Urban, perhaps temporarily, amid the divorce. She had been working with him for his High and Alive World Tour. They first collaborated in 2024 after she was approached by Urban to perform with him at the CMT Music Awards. She also joined him during performances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Baugh’s father, Chuck, addressed the rumors going on about his daughter, telling the Daily Mail, “I don’t know anything about it, other than she’s a guitar player for him. It’s more of a musician thing than a dating thing.” He added that he hasn’t heard anything that’s unprofessional. He previously denied the allegations on social media, too.
