Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban split after almost 20 years of being married, and now the latest reports are claiming that she feels betrayed by him. Apparently, amidst all the rumors surfacing about Urban’s cheating on her, reports also have it that she feels “betrayed” as the emotional journey started for her long before the paperwork and the news broke out.
A source recently claimed to Page Six,
She feels betrayed. She feels really upset.
As it turns out, just a few days before the news of their split was made public, Urban appeared on the series premiere of CBS’s The Road. There, he performed his new single Straight Line, which is a song he openly described earlier this year as being about escaping a “soul-sucking routine.” On his Instagram handle, he wrote in February,
‘Straight Line’ is wanting to break out of a soul-sucking routine that you might be stuck in: maybe in a relationship, a job, with creativity, with yourself… whatever it is!!
Although he didn’t name names, fans were quick to note who he might be referring to through the comment. Especially in the wake of his split from Kidman, his message appears to be clear. Not to mention, he admitted to feeling “lonely and miserable” on tour, which was more than enough to suggest that their marriage had taken a turn (via RadarOnline.com).
In the Instagram post, Urban added, “It’s a message of feeling alive again and getting out from under that dark cloud.” All of this, including the timing and tone of her now-ex-husband’s remarks, was reportedly not taken in the best way by the Eyes Wide Shut actress, especially amidst the rumors that he has already moved on with a new woman (via HOLA!).
Is Keith Urban Already in a New Relationship Post Divorce?

When news about Nicole Kidman having filed for a divorce from Keith Urban surfaced, it was also revealed that the two had reportedly been living separately since the beginning of summer. As reported by TMZ, the country singer had moved out and had even set up his own place in Nashville, where he was staying at the time of their breakup.
Besides this, insiders also claimed recently that Urban is already in a relationship with “a younger woman in the music industry,” per Daily Mail. Additional reports that followed from sources suggested that this “younger woman” was his 25-year-old guitarist, Maggie Baugh. Furthermore, reports also claimed that he was seeing a different woman as well.
While these reports are one, there’s further evidence that seemingly backs them up. Like how, in April, the singer was singing “I was born to love you” while gazing over at Baugh on the stage during a performance. In another instance, during a performance, he switched his ex-wife’s name in a song that he had written for her and made it an ode for his young guitarist.
However, as believable as all of this seems, there are also chances that it might not all be true. This is because, per some social media searches, Baugh apparently has a boyfriend, per the Daily Mail. Additionally, in a 2017 interview with Piper’s Pick TV, she shared her “rule” of not dating fellow band members. That’s another report to further complicate all these reports.
Nicole Kidman is Seemingly Taking a Positive Approach to Her Divorce

At the beginning of the news of their split making rounds on the internet, an insider claimed to PEOPLE that Nicole Kidman “didn’t want this” while referring to her divorce from Keith Urban. Adding to this, the source also claimed that the actress had been “stressed” about it all “because she knew the separation would eventually become public and she was dreading it.”
But while Kidman might see it as a deep emotional betrayal, especially Urban’s decision to go public with such emotionally charged lyrics, there are also reports that the actress is now embracing this new chapter in her life. If anything, she is focusing on her family and her next chapter, being back in Nashville after a trip to Europe. A source told the outlet,
She isn’t someone who dwells on regrets — she believes everything happens for a reason.
Plus, in a more recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar published soon after news of her divorce surfaced, she seemed to have taken a positive approach to her divorce. Reflecting on navigating through such hard times, Kidman said,
You are going to have to feel it, and it’s going to feel insurmountable at times. You’re going to feel like you’re broken, but if you move gently and slowly — and it can take an enormous amount of time — it does pass.
For what it’s worth, we sure hope all of this emotional baggage that comes with breakups does pass Nicole Kidman sooner than she expects, and she moves on in her life with no regrets. Don’t you agree?
