The Rock Legend’s Life And Time

Frehley was a founding member of KISS in 1973 alongside Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, and Peter Criss, defining the band’s hard-rock sound with his distinctive, heavy guitar work on classic hits like “Rock and Roll All Nite,” “Detroit Rock City,” and “Deuce.”
He eventually left the group in 1982 amid creative differences and substance abuse issues. At the time, he pursued a successful solo career before rejoining the band for their popular 1996 reunion tour.
It was then that he formed his own group, Frehley’s Comet, which saw him get branded “The Spaceman.” Among other KISS songs he helped write are “Back in the New York Groove” and “Into the Night.”
