Meanwhile, Schuter himself lends his two cents on the developing situation, saying:
Justin Trudeau’s friends think Katy Perry “staged” those yacht kiss photos. Trudeau’s inner circle isn’t buying those perfectly lit photos of him kissing Katy Perry on that yacht and some are convinced that the pop star orchestrated the moment herself […] Friends of the former Canadian Prime Minister believe it was all “strategically choreographed.”
Another report on Mandatory further went on to claim that Trudeau could be the reason behind Katy Perry’s split with long-time partner, Orlando Bloom.

On June 17, 2025, TMZ reported that the pop star and the Lord of the Rings actor may be breaking up after 9 years of engagement. On June 26, People confirmed that the pair were no longer romantically involved with each other.
Although neither outlet reported on the cause of their breakup, Perry may have shed some light on the inner workings of her relationship, and what may have caused the two to go their separate ways, during an interview on Apple Music with Zane Lowe:
