Kash Patel, Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, is currently under scrutiny after being involved in a jet scandal with his girlfriend, Alexis Wilkins. As reported by The Bulwark, a few days ago, Patel allegedly used an FBI plane to go watch his partner perform at Penn State University on October 25 – an incident that seems to have caught the eye of ex-FBI agent and Patel critic, Kyle Seraphin.
Per the outlet, Seraphin noted a government jet, which took off from a northern Virginia airport, and landed at State College, which is Pennsylvania’s regional airport near the campus. This incident reportedly happened right around the time the FBI Director was headed there.
While the FBI didn’t respond to a request for comment, the jet is reportedly “registered with the FAA as government-owned, with its owner’s address as the FBI’s Washington headquarters.” Additionally, the report also noted how earlier this week, the jet traveled from Washington to Philadelphia – “an itinerary that matches Patel’s appearance at a press conference in that city.”

Since then, new reports from @AFPost on X have revealed that Patel has since fired FBI Assistant Director Steven Palmer “after Patel received extreme backlash for using taxpayer dollars to fly to his girlfriend, Alexis Wilkins’, performance at a wrestling event,” in a “$60 million jet” that he allegedly used to make the round trip. Plus, as a result of the same, the FBI Director is also reportedly “trying to block the tracking of government jets.”
As per the outlet, this scandal is “the latest in a series of personal scandals that have occurred during Patel’s tenure as FBI Director, many of which are related to his relationship with Wilkins, in addition to the numerous failures in the Epstein and Charlie Kirk investigations.” That said, it’s only inevitable that Patel is now under serious fire from the critics.
In the wake of this jet scandal, numerous critics are reportedly calling Patel’s wife, Wilkins, a “Mossad” asset. However, he has responded to that criticism, slamming anyone attacking his girlfriend as a “coward” and endangering their lives (more on this later). But that raises the question: Who actually is Alexis Wilkins?

Wilkins is actually a Nashville-based country music singer and songwriter who has released several songs and an EP. Her music often incorporates themes of patriotism and American values. In an interview with Beyond the Stage Magazine back in 2020, she opened up about how she got started with making music, sharing her story as,
I got started in music by way of writing my first song at 6. I really wanted to help with a cause that I’d read about, and had asked my mom how to help. She had told me that people do something they love to raise funds or awareness for something they care about. I wrote a song to put online to raise money, and have been writing and singing ever since!
Adding to this, the singer-songwriter proceeded to call her music “relatable,” “country,” and “the truth,” adding that her hope for her music is that people “feel understood and heard.” “I hold to pieces I love about traditional country, I tell stories, I love the instrumentation of classic country,” she explained during the interview.
In her impressive musical career, Wilkins released her debut EP, Grit, and her Veterans’ Day single, Stand, both of which secured top ten spots on iTunes. She has shared the stage with big musical artists like Lee Greenwood, Chris Young, and Sara Evans.
2. She Was Raised Primarily in Arkansas
Born on November 3, 1998, Alexis Wilkins was primarily raised in Arkansas, but she spent her early years in England and Switzerland. She is currently 27 years old and has already achieved significant feats in her life and career.
3. She Is a Conservative Political Commentator
Beyond her music, Wilkins is also a conservative political commentator and a media personality for the conservative PragerU. Not to mention, she is also the Capitol Hill Press Secretary for Representative Abe Hamadeh (R-Ariz.). Per reports from the Daily Mail, the two began dating soon after, in January 2023. What’s worth noting, though, is the massive age gap between the couple.
For those who might not know, there is more than an 18-year age gap between the 27-year-old Wilkins and the 45-year-old Patel (born on 25 February 1980), which has drawn a lot of attention and comments online. Nonetheless, the couple is reportedly set to move to Washington, DC, together, per the Daily Mail.
5. She Has Studied at Belmont University
Turns out, Wilkins has studied at Belmont University, which is located in Nashville. Per reports, she pursued her studies in business and political science at the said institute, and has even expressed her deep love for American history and War history.
One fun fact about herself, as she shared in her interview with Beyond the Stage Magazine, is that she is pretty interested in collecting vintage books, specifically history. “I love American history and War history, and majored in Business and Political Science in college,” she shared.
6. Alexis Wilkins Is Also a Strong Advocate for Veterans Organisations
Apart from her musical career, Patel’s girlfriend is also involved in philanthropy and advocacy work, particularly for veteran causes. Over the years, she has worked with organizations like Warrior Rounds and Operation Stand Down to write songs with veterans.
Plus, Wilkins has also performed for patients at Veterans Affairs hospitals. Her Veteran’s Day single Stand was created to support veterans. To say the least, she has been a strong advocate for Veterans Organizations.
7. She Filed a $5 Million Lawsuit Against a Commentator for Defamation
Another intriguing fact about Alexis Wilkins is that she filed a $5 million defamation lawsuit against podcaster Kyle Seraphin in August 2025. Her suit alleged that the Patel critic falsely claimed that she was an Israeli spy whose relationship with Patel is a “honeypot” operation on his show to entice and expose Patel.
Wilkins accused Seraphin of “using this fabricated story as self-enriching clickbait.” Per CNBC, she is seeking at least $5 million in damages.
These comments were made earlier this year on August 22, when the ex-FBI agent said on his The Kyle Seraphin Show,
[Patel] has had his own little ‘honeypot’ issue that’s been going on of late, so we’re just going to acknowledge it real publicly. He’s got a girlfriend that is half his age, who is apparently is both a country music singer, a political commentator on Rumble, a friend of John Rich through [FBI deputy Director Dan] Bongino, who also now owns a big chunk of Rumble, and she’s also a former Mossad agent in what is like the equivalent of their NSA.
But I’m sure that’s totally because, like, she’s really looking for, like, a cross-eyed, you know, kind of thickish built, super cool bro who’s almost 50 years old who’s Indian in America. Like, it has nothing to do with the fact that, uh, we’re really close to the Trump administration. Anyway, I’m sure that’s totally just like love. That’s what real love looks like.
With these comments at the center of the lawsuit, Wilkins’s attorney claimed that by calling her a honeypot, Seraphin is suggesting that she is “an agent of a foreign government who began a relationship with another for purposes of manipulating and compromising them.” The lawsuit further called Seraphin’s allegations “vile and ridiculous.”
8. She Has a Podcast Called Between the Headlines
Alexis Wilkins also hosts a podcast called Between the Headlines on the anti-censorship platform Rumble. This podcast discusses current events and conservative political issues. The singer-songwriter appears to use this platform to share her perspective and engage in conservative discourse beyond her music career.

As the intrigue continues to surround Kash Patel and his girlfriend, the FBI Director himself took to his X handle to comment on the jet scandal, claiming he is “proud of the work of this FBI.”
In his post, while he didn’t directly reference The Bulwark’s story about the allegations, he insisted that he would “not be distracted by baseless rumors.” Patel also added that his FBI is “laser-focused” on meeting its goals, which include “hunting down terrorists” and “taking violent criminals” off the street “in record numbers.”
Continuing, Patel emphasized that while he was okay with being criticized himself, “going after the people doing great work, my personal life, or those around me is a total disgrace.” He proceeded to slam everyone criticizing his girlfriend, writing,
The disgustingly baseless attacks against Alexis — a true patriot and the woman I’m proud to call my partner in life — are beyond pathetic. She is a rock-solid conservative and a country music sensation who has done more for this nation than most will in ten lifetimes. I’m so blessed she’s in my life.
Attacking her isn’t just wrong — it’s cowardly and jeopardizes our safety. My love of family will always be my cornerstone, and you will never tear that down or keep me from them.
Patel then concluded his strong-worded defense with a warning to those Republicans who have not backed him yet amidst this latest jet scandal, writing, “And to our supposed allies staying silent — your silence is louder than the clickbait haters.” That summed up his response.

This response has, however, still earned him criticism. For one, commentator and author Candace Owens took to her own X handle to say that while she doesn’t care about Alexis Wilkins “one way or another,” she wants to point out that “the head of the FBI is tweeting out in defense of his girlfriend. Not a wife – but a girlfriend.” She proceeded to write,
We are just not a serious nation whatsoever.
Numerous other commentators agreed with her comment in the comments section as they brutally trolled Patel on his response. For one, X user @LucienWolfe111 called Kash Patel’s response a “love letter” that he penned down “because strangers on the internet hurt his girlfriend’s feelings.” To say the least, even Patel slamming his girlfriend’s critics is taking a toll on him, landing the FBI Director straight under scrutiny and backlash.
